Hi Everyone..
Happy new year!
Just wondering if any of you have ever suffered with underarm pain? I had an operation on my left shoulder 6months ago which has left me with a frozen shoulder I am now on waiting list for a manipulation and steroid inj under general anasthetic! Anyway for the last week or so I have terrible pain in my armpit its like a burning pain and feels muscular but as I have limited use of my shoulder seems unlikely that I could have pulled a muscleConfused.
Dont really want to bother GP so any help or advice would be great.. Thanks luv Ceri xx

Hi Ceri

I havn't got a clue what it is but I had an abcess a few weeks ago under my armpit and didn't go to the doctors for a while as I thought it was swollen glands and wish I'd gone sooner.

If I was you I'd see a doctor as you have had it for over a week.

I think I would have to agree with the others Ceri- never mind about 'bothering' the GP---that's what they're there for and it's YOUR body and YOUR health after all!
YES I'VE CHANGED, PAIN DOES THAT TO PEOPLE.

Hi Ceri,

Like the others have said that's what the GP's are there for. It's probably nothing to worry about, could even be a trapped hair which can be very painful. Any pain in a concentrated area hurts like hell. Or you may have moved awkwardly to protect your shoulder and jarred it some way. Whatever, it pays to get it checked out. Hope your better soon.

Take care Lorna x Smile

Hi Ceri

It could be any number of things so if it hasn't cleared up by Monday morning I would definitely get to see a GP. If it worsens before then I think it might be advisable to seek urgent attention. None of us are qualified to say but having had it for a week already it doesn't sound muscular ... that should have been easing off as the week progressed.

Hope you get some relief soon,

Lyn x

hi Ceri,

sounds like you are in such pain ... i would definately go to your GP even if it's just for re-assurance.

don't ever feel like you are being a nuisance ... i know i do feel the same at times, but when i come out ( i have such a good Doctor ) i feel so much better.

hopefully it's nothing to worry about but soonest looked at the better you'll feel.

take care,

Suzanne x
